After an agonizingly long flight, I reached Los Angeles! Managed to catch 2012 and 2 episodes of Big Bang Theory, the rest of the way I slept, hence the major jetlag when I reached. Anyway the plan was to spend 3 days in LA before heading to Philadelphia. My dad's childhood friend picked us up from the airport and was practically hosting us the whole 3 days and was awesome. Brought us to all the places and all. Really grateful for having uncle Alan around during my stay in LA.
Well, my first meal directly after uncle Alan picked us up from the airport was..
In-N-Out Burgers!
Wanted to try it out since bi's friend highly recommended it, and the online reviews were awesome, and it didn't disappoint :) What's disappointing is that it's only available in California, damn.
Uncle Alan's house was really nice. The house was huge, the neighbourhood was peaceful and quiet, and they had pets too! Really a great start to our arrival in the US.
The house!
Pet #1 - Lucky, the mixed Chi Hua Hua.
Pet #2 - ....didn't get the hamster's name.
Anyway, the very next day uncle Alan brought us to Universal Studio. The ticket was really expensive, about $68 or so. Was pretty good. Kinda lazy to elaborate on it, so I'll just post the pictures up?
Universal Studios! Weather was really nice, Genting Highland-ish about 17 degree celcius or so?
Cold-intolerant girlfriend braving a smile through the cutting wind!
Bi & I.
Shrek & us!
Bugger have his arms over my girl.
Scooby, Shaggy & us!
We went on this tour in Universal Studios, where they bring you around in a tramp showing you the movie sets where they film the movies and all, which was pretty awesome since you'd go "eh, this set is familiar, they used it in etc etc..!" but I thought this was the coolest out of the all. (Rest of them pictures uploaded on FB)

Fooling around in the merchandise store:
(Didn't buy anything, everything was just too expensive! Tourist area, what to do)
Her choice of a water bottle.
My choice of a water bottle.
This really cool Dark Knight poster which I was REALLY tempted to get for my room, but it was $9.99. Sigh.
Chucky!
